Some wild new video has emerged displaying a dramatic collision that occurred earlier this month off the coast of Queensland, Australia.

The incident came about on July 16, 2024 when the LNG-fuel geared up bulk service HL Eco, whereas maneuvering to anchor at Hay Level, reportedly suffered a major engine propulsion situation, leading to a lack of management and its collision with the anchored YM Serenity.

The incident was captured on video from on board the YM Serenity. The footage exhibits the bow of the vessel hitting the port aspect of the HL Eco, inflicting vital injury together with the destruction of an LNG gas tank and the lack of one of many YM Serenity’s anchors.

Each ships had been in ballast on the time of the accident and there seems to be no gasoline within the HL Eco’s LNG gas tanks.

The collision was instantly reported to MSQ Hay Level VTS.
