Lloyd’s Register (LR) has develop into the primary Certifying Authority to obtain authorisation from the UK Maritime and Coastguard Company (MCA) to certify remotely operated and unmanned vessels (ROUVs) underneath the Workboat Code Version 3 (WBC3) Annex 2.
Below the WBC3 framework, remotely operated and unmanned vessels beneath 24 metres in size should adjust to complete security and operational necessities and procure certification by means of an authorised Certifying Authority to function in UK waters.
