SUARDIAZ Group Expands it fleet with the acquisition of RS Onza operating for MOEVE

SUARDIAZ Group, through the company’s SURDIAZ Energy division, has signed an agreement to make the recently acquired RS Onza available to Moeve. The vessel is an IMO2 chemical tanker with the capability to transport methanol.

The RS Onza, recently delivered to SUARDIAZ in Singapore, will operate in European ports, primarily in Spain, and is already providing services for Moeve.

Juan Riva, CEO of SUARDIAZ Group, commented: “Our agreement with Moeve strengthens our longstanding relationship and is yet another sign of the confidence the energy sector places in us. Our extensive experience in the maritime and bunkering sectors enables us to continue moving forward by delivering more innovative and sustainable solutions.”

Fernando Barreras, Director of SUARDIAZ Energy, added: “The RS Onza is equipped with the latest technology for the transport and delivery of new fuels.”

Samir Fernandez, Director of Marine Solutions & Trading at Moeve, stated: “The incorporation of the RS Onza strengthens our capacity to advance logistics solutions better suited to new fuels. This agreement with SUARDIAZ is another step forward in Moeve’s roadmap to drive the decarbonisation of maritime transport.”

SUARDIAZ Energy operates through two complementary business lines. Firstly via the the Offshore division focusing on the operation of offshore vessels, and a second Tanker division, dedicated to the oil tanker, chemical tankers, and bunker barge operations, with units currently based in Barcelona and Ceuta.

Further projects are under development, including new units under construction for delivery in 2027 and the design of an LNG bunker vessel. SUARDIAZ is committed to larger and more flexible vessels for the transportation of petroleum-derived products and chemicals, with new fuels handling capacity.
