LONDON, 13th April 2026 \u2013 The Mission to Seafarers, a leading seafarers\u2019 welfare charity, is now accepting nominations for its prestigious International Seafarers Awards 2026.<\/p>\n
Taking place on Friday, 13th November 2026, and now in its ninth year, the annual awards have established themselves as a highlight of the Singapore maritime calendar, celebrating individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions to enhancing the welfare and wellbeing of seafarers globally. The closing deadline for nominations is 6th July 2026.<\/p>\n
The Awards Ceremony serves as a testament to the industry\u2019s commitment to seafarer welfare, bringing together maritime professionals from around the globe for a glittering gala dinner. Held at the illustrious Fairmont Singapore Hotel, it gives the industry the opportunity to celebrate the backbone of global trade \u2013 seafarers. As always, the event promises an evening of celebration and networking as we honour the invaluable efforts of seafarers, shore-based staff, and shipping companies who champion crew welfare.<\/p>\n

The Mission to Seafarers invites individuals and organisations to nominate deserving candidates for the following categories:<\/p>\n
Seafarer Award \u2013 The seafarer who has made a significant contribution to welfare at sea.<\/p>\n
Shore-based Award \u2013 The shore-based person who has made a significant contribution to seafarers\u2019 welfare.<\/p>\n
Cadet Award \u2013The Cadet or Trainee who has made a significant contribution to seafarers\u2019 welfare at sea or ashore.<\/p>\n
Innovation Award \u2013 The company that has embraced a new programme, project, or training which has enhanced seafarers\u2019 welfare.<\/p>\n
Rescue Award \u2013 The Captain or Crew who has coordinated a successful rescue operation to save lives at sea.<\/p>\n
Secretary General Award \u2013 The person or company who has shown sustained efforts to improve seafarers\u2019 welfare at sea or ashore.<\/p>\n
