{"id":52181,"date":"2026-04-23T20:10:56","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T19:10:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/maritimehub.co.uk\/?p=52181"},"modified":"2026-04-23T20:10:56","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T19:10:56","slug":"qatarenergy-marks-first-lng-export-from-golden-pass-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maritimehub.co.uk\/qatarenergy-marks-first-lng-export-from-golden-pass-project\/","title":{"rendered":"QatarEnergy marks first LNG export from Golden Pass project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>QatarEnergy marks first LNG export from Golden Pass project<\/p>\n<p>QatarEnergy has celebrated the first LNG export cargo from the Golden Pass LNG project in Sabine Pass, Texas, in the US\u2013 a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil.<\/p>\n<p>Marking an important step towards the project\u2019s commencement of full commercial and export operations, the project\u2019s historic LNG cargo was safely and successfully loaded onboard QatarEnergy\u2019s Al-Qaiyyah LNG carrier, recently built in Korea with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>Saad Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, said: \u201cThis is a significant industry milestone that marks a new chapter in QatarEnergy\u2019s global efforts to meet rising LNG demand and ensure reliable supplies to international markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Minister Al-Kaabi added: \u201cThe Golden Pass LNG project is one of the single largest investment decisions in the history of the US LNG sector, affirming QatarEnergy\u2019s position and reputation as a reliable provider and a trusted partner of choice that drives growth and development around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to thank the relevant U.S. authorities and regulators for their cooperation on this key project. We are also grateful for the strong commitment of the QatarEnergy and Golden Pass LNG teams in delivering this important energy project, as well as the invaluable role played by our strategic partner, ExxonMobil,\u201d Minister Al-Kaabi concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Golden Pass LNG is a partnership between QatarEnergy (70 per cent) and ExxonMobil (30 per cent).
