In its latest weekly report, shipbroker Banchero Costa said that \u201cin the gas carrier sector, China\u2019s Zhoushan Dashenzhou Shipbuilding secured an order for 3 x 10,000 cu.m. LNG\/ammonia carriers from Brazil\u2019s Transpetro, the Petrobras subsidiary. Price is $53 mln each and deliveries are set for April 2028, August 2028 and May 2029. In the tanker sector, China\u2019s Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding secured an order for 2 x 114,000 dwt LR2 product tankers from China\u2019s Shishi Dingsheng Shipping. The vessels are dual-fuel LNG ready, fully compliant with Tier III and EEDI standards, deliveries are scheduled for March and June 2029. Price $70 mln each. In the chemical sector, Japan\u2019s Kitanihon Shipbuilding secured an order for 4 x 40,000 dwt fully stainless-steel chemical tankers for Norway\u2019s Odfjell. The vessels are originally earmarked for Japanese ownership and will be purchased by Odfjell upon completion of deliveries. Total contract value is around $290 mln, with deliveries scheduled from March 2027 to December 2027\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in the S&#038;P market, shipbroker Xclusiv added that the \u201cdry S&#038;P activity remained firm this week, with a notable concentration of deals in the Supramax sector. On the Post-Panamax sector, the geared \u201cOcean Fairy\u201d \u2013 87K\/2010 Hudong Zhonghua was sold for mid USD 16 mills, while the \u201cCorona Brave\u201d \u2013 88K\/2006 Imabari achieved a price in the high USD 12 mills to Chinese buyers. Moving to the Panamax segment, the \u201cPabur\u201d \u2013 76K\/2012 Taizhou Kouan was sold for USD 16.5 mills, while the \u201cDonousa\u201d \u2013 76K\/2004 Tsuneishi changed hands for USD 9.65 mills.<\/p>\n<p>On the Ultramax sector, the modern \u201cAmis Power\u201d \u2013 64K\/2018 Tsuneishi Cebu fetched a strong USD 32 mills. On the Supramax sector, the \u201cAstra Perseus\u201d \u2013 58K\/2012 DSME Shandong was sold for USD 16.8 mills. On the same sector, the \u201cHoncho\u201d \u2013 56K\/2011 China Shipping Industry and \u201cHonour\u201d \u2013 57K\/2010 Cosco Zhoushan sold en bloc for low\/mid USD 13 mills each. Additionally, the \u201cAsteris\u201d \u2013 53K\/2007 Yangzhou Dayang was sold for USD 9.8 mills, while the \u201cChakravati\u201d \u2013 55K\/2006 Kawasaki achieved a price in the mid USD 10 mills. The older \u201cVosco Unity\u201d \u2013 53K\/2004 Imabari changed hands at USD 8.5 mills. Finally, on the Handysize sector, the \u201cCalobra\u201d \u2013 35K\/2015 Taizhou Maple was sold for USD 18 mills, while the \u201cKS Grace\u201d \u2013 36K\/2014 Shikoku achieved USD 17 mills\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis week saw strong activity across the Suezmax and MR segments, with several enbloc transactions shaping the market. On the Suezmax sector, Greek buyers acquired the resale \u201cAdvantage Summit\u201d \u2013 158K\/2026 Samsung and \u201cBhanu 1\u201d \u2013 157K\/2026 Samsung for USD 120 mills each. In addition, the sister vessels \u201cFront Idun\u201d &#038; \u201cFront Ull\u201d \u2013 156K\/2014 Jiangsu Rongsheng were sold enbloc for USD 140 mills. On the LR2 sector, the \u201cSTI Park\u201d, \u201cSTI Sloane\u201d and \u201cSTI Madison\u201d- all 110K\/2014 Hyundai Samho \u2013 were sold enbloc for USD 195 mills. Moving to the Panamax\/LR1 segment, the \u201cDanship Tope\u201d \u2013 76K\/2008 Dalian was sold to Greek buyers for USD 19 mills. In the MR2 sector, the \u201cLegend Innovator\u201d \u2013 50K\/2026 Taizhou Zhonghang was sold for USD 50 mills. Moreover, the sister vessels \u201cSTI Aqua\u201d, \u201cSTI Opera\u201d and \u201cSTI Regina\u201d \u2013 all 50K\/2014 Korean-built \u2013 sold enbloc for USD 105 mills to Besiktas. The \u201cCordoba\u201d \u2013 47K\/2007 Sungdong was sold for USD 17 mills. Finally, on the Handy segment, the Japanese-built resale quartet \u201cKitanihon 757\u201d, \u201cKitanihon 756\u201d, \u201cKitanihon 752\u201d and \u201cKitanihon 753\u201d \u2013 ranging between 40K-44K dwt and built 2028-2029 at Kitanihon \u2013 were sold enbloc for USD 290 mills.
