(OOCL) today held the naming ceremony of OOCL Wisdom, the Company\u2019s first methanol dual\u2011fuel container vessel and the first of a series of seven vessels.<\/p>\n<p>The naming ceremony was held at the shipyard of Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (\u201cNACKS\u201d). Ms. Cao Yanping, Director of Fujian Yaohua Industrial Village Development Co., Ltd., named OOCL Wisdom and bestowed her blessings upon the vessel in the presence of many guests at the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>With a maximum capacity of 24,168 TEU, OOCL Wisdom is currently the world\u2019s largest methanol dual\u2011fuel container vessel. All main engines, auxiliary engines and boilers are equipped with methanol dual\u2011fuel systems, and the vessel integrates advanced energy\u2011efficiency management, intelligent monitoring and safety assurance systems, combining green environmental performance, digital intelligence and high energy efficiency. The delivery of the vessel marks a new milestone in technological innovation and low\u2011carbon development for OOCL\u2019s fleet.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was successfully completed in the presence of distinguished guests and leaders.<\/p>\n<p>At the naming ceremony, Mr. Tao Weidong, Chief Executive Officer of OOCL, said: \u201cThe delivery of OOCL Wisdom not only expands OOCL\u2019s fleet and sets a new benchmark for our vessel technology, but also demonstrates our firm commitment to green and low\u2011carbon development, digital intelligence and sustainability.
