Hong Kong’s Pacific Basin to Build Low-Emission Ultramax Bulkers with Nihon Shipyard

The ships will every have a deadweight of 64,000 and dual-fuel engines. Two of the vessels are contracted collectively with Nihon Shipyard and Imabari Shipbuilding and the remaining two are contracted with Mitsui and Co. The 4 ships will likely be delivered at a price of two every in 2028 and 2029.

The vessels are of a brand new design optimised for gas economic system. Further upgrades will additional improve the vessels’ operational capabilities and security options.
