Chevron Company has launched water injection operations at its Jack/St. Malo and Tahiti amenities within the deepwater U.S. Gulf of Mexico to boost oil and pure gasoline restoration.
These two initiatives goal to maximise returns from present assets and contribute to rising manufacturing to 300,000 internet barrels of oil equal per day by 2026, in line with Bruce Niemeyer, president of Chevron Americas Exploration & Manufacturing.

On the Jack/St. Malo facility, Chevron has commenced its first waterflood mission within the deepwater Wilcox pattern. Theproject consists of new water injection amenities, two manufacturing wells, and two injection wells, that are anticipated so as to add 175 million barrels of oil equal to the sector’s gross restoration.
The Tahiti facility has additionally begun water injection into its first deepwater producer-to-injector conversion wells, integrating a brand new water injection manifold and 20,000 ft of flowline. The Tahiti facility, which began operations in 2009, has surpassed 500 million gross barrels of oil-equivalent manufacturing.
Chevron operates the St. Malo discipline with a 51% working curiosity, whereas the Tahiti facility is operated with a 58% stake.
