Fratelli Cosulich Group Launches New Chemical Bunker


On October 9, 2025, the Fratelli Cosulich Group launched Maya Cosulich — the world’s first methanol-powered IMO II chemical bunker tanker — at Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Hoe Sook Mei from the Fratelli Cosulich Singapore workplace, who served because the Godmother of Maya Cosulich. 

Designed by SeaTech Options Worldwide Pte Ltd, the Maya Cosulich options diesel-electric propulsion, onboard battery storage, and two mass circulate meters (MFMs). Totally compliant with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s (MPA) methanol bunkering requirements, it units a brand new benchmark for secure and environment friendly supply of other marine fuels within the area.

Upon her arrival and supply to Singapore by the top of 2025, Maya Cosulich will start operations beneath time constitution with TFG Marine, turning into the primary methanol dual-fuel bunker tanker to function within the Port of Singapore.
