German shipbuilder Meyer Werft, the German Aerospace Heart (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR), and Freudenberg Gasoline Cell e-Energy Techniques have launched a collaboration with the goal of growing proton change membrane (PEM) gasoline cell programs to be used in marine propulsion.

The Zero4cruise venture will give attention to using methanol with the PEM gasoline cells, permitting the know-how for use to provide cruise ships with electrical energy, warmth and cooling, and to take action effectively and with low emissions.
