Lloyd’s Register (LR) has granted Griffon Hoverwork Approval in Precept (AiP) for its new Wyvern class of Touchdown Craft Air Cushion (LCAC). The Wyvern class represents a major development in amphibious army transport.
This certification encompasses important features of the craft’s design, together with lifting programs, stability, piping programs, hull construction, and mechanical and electrical programs.
Designed for interoperability with each new and legacy amphibious ships, the Wyvern is engineered to function in harsh and excessive circumstances, making certain reliability and efficiency in various operational eventualities. It presents a prime velocity of fifty knots and a payload capability exceeding 52 tonnes.
