H Schramm Towage orders new tug for Northern Europe operations

The brand new tug will measure 25.3 metres in size, with a 12-metre beam and a draft of 6.2 metres. It’ll embody FiFi 1 fire-fighting functionality and meet IMO Tier III emissions requirements. Propulsion will likely be offered by Caterpillar engines driving Kongsberg thrusters, enabling the vessel to ship as much as 80 tonnes of bollard pull.

H Schramm Towage operates primarily within the waters across the Elbe River, the Baltic Sea, and the Kiel Canal.
