Japan’s NYK inks long-term crewboat charter with local JV

Japan transport firm Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) has entered right into a long-term time-charter settlement for an offshore wind crewboat with Oga Katagami Akita Offshore Inexperienced Vitality, a three way partnership firm established by JERA Nex BP Japan, Electrical Energy Growth, Tohoku Electrical Energy, and Itochu Company.

The vessel shall be constructed by Kosaba Shipbuilding in Kamaishi Metropolis, Iwate Prefecture, and shall be operated alongside the coasts of Oga, Katagami, and Akita, supporting Japan’s first offshore wind mission normally sea areas, in accordance with NYK.
