

CAIRO, July 14 (Reuters) – Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) stated on Sunday it had made a “big” oil discovery within the Al-Nokhatha discipline east of the Kuwaiti island of Failaka, with oil reserves estimated at 3.2 billion barrels.
KPC’s CEO Sheikh Nawaf Saud Nasir Al-Sabah stated in a video posted by the corporate on X that the brand new discovery’s reserves had been equal to the nation’s whole manufacturing in three years.
The preliminary estimated space of the newly found oil nicely is round 96 sq. km, KPC stated in its assertion.
It added that the preliminary estimates of the hydrocarbon reserves current on the nicely had been estimated at roughly 2.1 billion barrels of sunshine oil, and 5.1 trillion customary cubic ft of gasoline, which correspond to three.2 billion barrels of oil equal.
