EU Naval Mission Says It Destroyed Aerial Drone In Gulf Of Aden

Reuters

ATHENS, July 14 (Reuters) – The EU naval mission defending ships crossing the Crimson Sea stated that its frigate Psara had destroyed an unmanned aerial drone within the Gulf of Aden on Sunday.

The Aspides mission started in February in response to drone and missile assaults by Iranian-aligned Houthi militants on vessels within the area. The Houthis describe the assaults as acts of solidarity with Palestinians in Israel’s struggle in Gaza.

Different international locations, together with the United States, even have naval forces working within the space.
