Orsted-ESB JV to build new wind farm off Ireland’s south coast

Helvick Head Offshore Wind, a three way partnership partnership shaped by Irish renewables firm ESB and Danish counterpart Ørsted, has been chosen because the developer of a brand new offshore wind farm following the ORESS Tonn Nua Public sale of the Irish Authorities.

Irish grid operator EirGrid mentioned that, as soon as operational, the brand new offshore wind farm to be constructed by the three way partnership will generate 900 MW of renewable power, which will probably be sufficient to energy almost 1,000,000 properties.
