
Norwegian shipowner Rem Offshore has employed Norwegian Electrical Methods (NES) to ship a deck-based battery power storage system to its Rem Inspector building assist vessel (CSV).
NES, specializing in sustainable power design and good management programs for vessels, will ship a containerized power storage system that features a Quest battery charger, a 1 MW battery package deal, and a management system.
The system is able to working in peak shaving, spinning reserve and harbor mode.
Rem Offshore will set up the power storage system and related gear on board the Rem Inspector CSV.
This vessel is 110 meters lengthy, 22 meters vast, has a deck house of 1,000 sq. meters, and is provided with a 150-tonnes crane.
NES will ship the gear throughout the first quarter of 2025 and handle the challenge from its headquarters in Bergen, Norway.
