Tech startup to introduce solar-powered ferries on Singapore River

Every boat might be fitted with PV panels that may generate as much as 22 kWh in someday. The boats might be berthed throughout daytime to allow the PV panels to generate sufficient energy for sustained nighttime sailings.

The ferries may also function vehicle-to-grid (V2G) expertise, which is able to allow them to produce any extra electrical energy to the native grid. When not in use crusing on the river throughout daytime, the boats may also operate as photo voltaic farms that may provide electrical energy to finish customers alongside the waterfront.
