MOSCOW, July 21 (Reuters) – Russian warships carried out coaching drills within the White Sea to convoy and defend a caravan of ships, state-run TASS information company reported on Sunday, citing the Russian Defence Ministry, in what it mentioned was routine fight coaching.
Through the drills two small anti-submarine ships, the Onega and the Naryan-Mar, practiced organizing fight utilization of weapons and radio-electronic warfare tools in a state of affairs of a simultaneous assault from air and sea.
“The day earlier than, the small anti-submarine ships Onega and Naryan-Mar carried out coaching and fight missions to repel an air assault by a conditional enemy,” TASS quoted a protection ministry assertion as saying.
Whereas coaching in air protection, the warships fired at simulated air targets from anti-aircraft missile methods and naval cannons, the company added.
