Dr. Helen Scales joins this system to debate the way forward for the world’s oceans and the environmental threats that they face.

Helen Scales, PhD, is a marine biologist, author, and broadcaster. She is the creator of many books concerning the ocean together with The Good Abyss and Spirals in Time, and the youngsters’s books What a Shell Can Inform and Scientists within the Wild. She writes for Nationwide Geographic Journal, the Guardian, and New Scientist, amongst others. She teaches at Cambridge College, is a storytelling ambassador for the Save Our Seas Basis, and science advisor for the marine conservation charity Sea Changers.
