Creator Andrew Boyd joins the podcast to debate his guide, Arms for Russia and the Naval Warfare within the Arctic, 1941-1945. He discusses the significance of Lend-Lease to the Soviet Union and the significance of the Arctic route in supplying them.
Andrew Boyd CMG, OBE, DPhil was educated at Britannia Royal Naval School Dartmouth and St John’s School, Oxford. He served as a submariner within the Royal Navy within the Nineteen Seventies and subsequently the Overseas & Commonwealth Workplace. He acquired his DPhil in naval historical past from the College of Buckingham in 2015 and is the creator of two broadly acclaimed works, The Royal Navy in Jap Waters: Linchpin of Victory 1935-1942 and British Naval Intelligence via the Twentieth Century.
