St. Johns Wins USACE Barge Contract

St. Johns Ship Constructing this week introduced a take care of the U.S. Military Corps of Engineers (USACE) to assemble two (2) 140′ x 32′ x 7′ Cease Log Barges. The contract is St. Johns Ship Constructing’s first new development mission for the U.S. Authorities.

“The brand new Cease-Log Barges will assist the Military Corps’ main upkeep fleet engaged on the navigation system, locks and powerhouses, and the flood management lakes situated inside the Tulsa District,” in line with a USACE assertion.

St. Johns Ship Constructing (SJSB) makes a speciality of Jones Act-compliant new development and restore of aluminum and metal vessels, together with crew boats, ferries, tugs, deck and tank barges, touchdown crafts, and common cargo ships. The U.S. Military Corps of Engineers supplies important public engineering providers throughout a variety of tasks, together with water infrastructure, flood danger administration, and environmental restoration. The Corps performs a crucial position in supporting the nation’s navigation and security infrastructure.
