
Russia’s state-owned United Shipbuilding Company, by way of its Amur Shipyard division in Vladivostok, will quickly start closing outfitting of a brand new massive response vessel ordered by the Russian Marine Rescue Service.
Kerchenskiy Proliv (“Kerch Strait”) belongs to the Challenge MPSV06 sequence of vessels able to search and rescue, firefighting, and oil spill response even in ice areas. Upon completion, it can have an LOA of 86 metres, a beam of 19.1 metres, and a draught of six metres.
The vessel’s propulsion may have a complete put in energy of seven MW and can ship speeds of as much as 15 knots.
