GTT unveils its Slim cargo containment systems optimised for ethane transport and approved by Bureau Veritas

GTT has acquired two Approvals in Precept (AiP) from Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) for its ethane-optimised cargo containment methods: Mark III SlimTM and NO96 SlimTM.

Constructing on its well-established Mark III and NO96 membrane applied sciences, GTT has developed these Slim variants particularly to accommodate the bodily properties of petrochemical cargoes. These optimisations help ship-owners to maximise cargo capability and optimise building prices for Very Massive Ethane Carriers (VLEC) and Extremely Massive Ethane Carriers (ULEC).

Along with ethane, these new methods are additionally appropriate for the transport of LPG, ethylene, butane, propane and propylene, providing shipyards and ship-owners a high-performance, versatile resolution in response to rising demand for devoted ethane carriers.
