Royal Caribbean Orders Another Edge Class Ship for Celebrity Cruises

Royal Caribbean Group introduced immediately that they’ve positioned an order for an additional Edge class cruise ship for Celeb Cruises.

This would be the sixth Edge class for Celeb Cruises and it’s anticipated to enter service in 2028. Edge 6 or ‘Xcel 2’ shall be a sister ship to Celeb’s latest ship debuting later this 12 months, Celeb Xcel.

The cruise ship shall be constructed by Chantiers de l’Atlantique, the identical shipyard that constructed the earlier Edge class ships.  They’re:

Royal Caribbean Group now has eight new cruise ships on order/below development together with two debuting this 12 months, Star of the Seas and Celeb Xcel.
