Hughes Bros. places new floating dry dock into operational service

Household-owned barge and shipyard firm Hughes Bros has positioned a brand new floating dry dock into operational service in Purple Hook in Brooklyn, New York.

The dry dock has been named Michael after Michael Hughes, who had co-founded the corporate that ultimately turned Hughes Bros. Design work was undertaken by JMS Naval Architects of Groton, Connecticut, whereas development occurred at Feeney Shipyard of Kingston, New York.
