Van Wijngaarden signs LOI with Dutch builder for new multi-purpose vessel

The 47-metre-long, 16-metre-wide vessel will function a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system and be compliant with IMO Tier III and ULEV (Extremely Low Emission Vessel) requirements. Will probably be geared up with two deck cranes (17 tonnes at 21 metres outreach), a tow and anchor-handling winch (50/220 tonnes pull, 250/250 tonnes maintain), and lodging for 27 personnel throughout 13 single and 7 double cabins.

Kooiman Marine Group, which is able to deal with each design and building, stated the undertaking would lead to a totally Dutch-built vessel. “We’re proud to be growing this multipurpose vessel in shut collaboration with Van Wijngaarden,” the corporate stated.
