The Worldwide Group (‘the Group’) has confirmed its approval of the IQAX eBL interoperable addendum (model dated 6 December 2024). This follows the Group’s earlier approval of the IQAX eBL system and its authorized framework, as outlined within the IQAX eBL Service Phrases and Circumstances dated 17 February 2022.
Goal of the Interoperable Addendum
The Interoperable Addendum allows inter-platform transfers of digital payments of lading (eBLs) between IQAX and different authorised eBL system suppliers. This interoperability is topic to the next situations:
Transfers should be made to a different Worldwide Group-approved platform.
The eBL should be ruled by the regulation of a ‘Recognised Jurisdiction’, as listed within the Annex to the Interoperable Addendum—a jurisdiction that legally acknowledges eBLs as equal to conventional paper payments of lading.
Exclusions and Compliance
All Group Membership Guidelines relating to cargo carriage stay relevant to authorised eBL suppliers simply as they do for conventional paper-based programs. Key exclusions embody:
Cargo discharge at an unauthorized port or location.
Issuance of ante- or post-dated eBLs.
Cargo supply with out producing the required negotiable eBL, until performed by the principles of the authorised buying and selling system.
This approval reinforces the authorized certainty of IQAX eBL’s interoperability whereas guaranteeing compliance with Group Membership Guidelines for digital buying and selling.
