IRPT, EFIP Sign Transatlantic Mou


Inland Rivers, Ports & Terminals, Inc. (IRPT) and the European Federation of Inland Ports (EFIP) introduced on October 1 a transatlantic partnership by way of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) centered on modernizing infrastructure, increasing business alternatives, and accelerating knowledge-sharing throughout the inland waterway freight community. 

The partnership is designed to strengthen collaboration between American and European inland ports and terminals, whereas increasing the business potential of port and terminal property. Collectively, IRPT and EFIP goal to domesticate investment-grade logistics and terminal ventures, share greatest practices in operations, coverage, and know-how, and foster public-private partnerships that improve revenues and resilience. By advancing joint initiatives and analysis, the MOU seeks to form the way forward for maritime transportation and create lasting worth for international commerce.

The MOU signing occurred throughout a ceremony onOctober 1 in Milwaukee, WI.
