The Minesweeping PDS will sweep for magnetic, acoustic and magnetic/acoustic mixture mines utilizing a towed acoustic generator and magnetic minesweeping cable.
“The MCM mission bundle advances the navy’s skills with USVs, offering further safety for our sailors,” stated David Phillips, Senior Vice President Air, Land and Sea Techniques at Textron Techniques. “The PDS award permits the navy to take integration one step additional via manufacturing and fielding, leading to a semi-autonomous resolution.”
