
Norwegian shipbuilder Vard has signed a contract for the design and building of 5 Stroll-to-work vessels with a global buyer, which can be put to service for offshore oil and fuel platforms.
The vessels are of VARD 3 32 design, a design developed by VARD in shut collaboration with the unnamed buyer.
The 5 Stroll-to-work vessels will present upkeep, provide, and operational providers to offshore platforms within the oil and fuel sector.
The vessels can be geared up with a diesel/electrical and battery-hybrid propulsion system, a 3D movement compensated gangway system in addition to a 3D movement compensated crane, and a complete lodging offering excessive consolation and wonderful working circumstances for the crew and technicians on board.
The size of the vessels is roughly 88 meters with a beam of about 19.8 meters. They may be capable to accommodate 190 individuals every.
All 5 vessels can be constructed, outfitted, commissioned and delivered from Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam. The primary 4 vessels can be delivered within the second half of 2027, and the ultimate unit early in 2028.
