Wind Surf’s Upcoming Refurbishment: We Reveal First Phase Details

What does it take to revamp and refurbish a beloved ship? And the way do you design areas that seize Windstar’s journey ethos – capturing a temper that’s subtle, joyful and adventurous? These are questions on the minds of Windstar’s design and refurbishment groups as plans are being finalized for the primary of two upgrades to the 342-passenger Wind Surf.  The ship’s upgrades start on November 9 at Navantia shipyard in Spain’s Cadiz.

Wind Surf’s refurbishment is a part of Windstar’s Setting Sails initiative, which redesigns all three of its crusing class of vessels between now and 2027 (pictured above is its newly designed pool deck). “Wind Surf, our flagship and the world’s largest crusing ship, has all the time been a particular member of our fleet,” says Stijn Creupelandt, chief working officer. “We’re excited to share some contemporary new particulars that replicate the road’s casually luxurious type of journey.”
