Older Panamaxes have come up this week following a flurry of recently sold vessels.
Panamax BC Donousa (76,400 DWT, Jun 2004, Tsuneishi Zosen) sold by Dileton Maritime for USD 9.3 mil, VV Value USD 8.7 mil.
Ultramax Amstel Tiger (60,500 DWT, Aug 2016, Oshima) sold by Triton Navigation SS/DD Due for USD 27.8 mil, VV Value USD 28.2 mil.
Supramax Honcho (56,600 DWT, May 2011, COSCO HI) bought by Greek buyers SS/DD Due for USD 13.4 mil, VV Value USD 14.1 mil.
8-year-old Aframaxes are currently selling at parity with newbuild values, driven by its versatility and sustained demand across the Tanker sector.
Suezmax Aegean Horizon (158,700 DWT, Aug 2007, HHI Ulsan) sold to undisclosed buyers for USD 50.10 mil, VV Value USD 47.58 mil
Aframax Southern Reverence (108,700 DWT, Mar 2018, Tsuneishi Zosen) sold for USD 75 mil, VV Value USD 76.36 mil
Aframax Pusaka Borneo (108,500 DWT, Nov 2018, Tsuneishi Zosen) sold to Eurotankers for USD 76.5 mil, VV Value USD 78.18 mil
MR2 Orion (51,900 DWT, Mar 2010, Hyundai Mipo) sold to unknown Greek buyers for USD 25.00 mil, VV value USD 24.63 mil
Container values have come up almost across the board this week, the only exception being older Feedermaxes which have come down slightly following recent sales. A steady stream of newbuilding orders has pushed values up across a variety of sizes and sectors.
Handy Container Perito Moreno (1,740 TEU, Dec 2009, Guangzhou Wenchong) sold by NSC Schifffahrtsgesellschaft for USD 23 mil, VV Value USD 21.8 mil.
Feedermax Pacanda (1,049 TEU, May 2007, Dae Sun) sold by Pegasus Shipping for USD 11.5 mil, VV Value USD 11.75 mil.
